ATTENTION YU-GI-OH! FANS
Hey everyone, yamimario here. This isn’t Arc-V related, but it’s still important to the franchise and it’s fans.
Konami just released YGO ZeXal: World Duel Carnival in Europe, and they’re going to be releasing it in the US a few months from now…
However, they’ve stripped the game from a ton of things the Japanese version had, other than the loss of voice acting (which is to be expected, since voiced YGO games are really rare).
The game is missing OVER HALF OF THE STORY MODES. They cut the characters you can play as down from 40 to 12.
12.
All the characters that are left are:
- Yuma - Astral - ZEXAL Yuma - Tori - Shark - Kite - Dr. Faker - Vetrix - Trey - Quattro - Alito - Konami-kun (Red Hat Guy)
This is bad enough, but they’ve also removed the Device and Database modes, along with Duelist Profiles, Photos, Ending Pictures and the Sound Test mode.
The Japanese version of this game costs around 36.68 Euro online.
The European release, with all of the above content stripped from the game, goes for 39.95 Euro at retailers, AND on the Nintendo eShop.
See the problem here? This is NOT okay.
Konami are cheating out fans, thinking they don’t know any better, thinking we’re okay with buying a incomplete game, thinking that fans probably don’t care or know. And I KNOW you guys care.
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. DON’T THROW YOUR MONEY OUT OF THE WINDOW.
Instead, let’s complain to the source: Konami.
You can contact them through these places:
Konami Support: https://us-support.konami.com/ics/support/ticketnewwizard.asp?style=classic
Yu-Gi-Oh! Support US: us-cardsupport@konami.com
Yu-Gi-Oh! Support UK: yugioh@konami-europe.net
If you want this to change, if you want better support for this franchise outside of Japan, please write in and tell them that you’re not going to buy a incomplete game, BUT DO NOT send direct ‘hate’ to them.
Also, ZeXal fans got so, so little in terms of merchandise outside of Japan in comparison to DM, GX, and 5D’s, 5D’s alone had around SEVEN different video games, ALL but two were localized and released properly outside of Japan (Tag Force 5 had similar cuts to this game, and Tag Force 6 never saw a proper US/EU release), while this is the ONLY ZeXal themed game we get, and then they go ahead and do something like THIS to it?
Surely, there must be other ways of saving/making money, Konami.
Spread this like wild-fire to your fellow fans, and have them write in as well if they can.
